The Professional Career Of Kellie Jerman

Kellie has been a dancer since she was able to walk. Her passion and love for the arts became an obsession and she jumped at every opportunity to audition, choreograph and perform. It was simply a part of her DNA and she hasn’t stopped. Recently her love for dance branched into another obsession, when she asked herself “How can I become a bigger asset in directing my dancers to better understand their strengths, weakness, mobility, anatomy and injury prevention?”. Therefor the Pilates and Barre training emerged. She has found Pilates is one of the greatest tools to help her dancers, and Pilates clients work towards a pretty amazing mind body connection.

Kellie’s professional background includes Choreographer, Production Artist and Dancer. Genre specialties in choreography include Competition Routines, Show Routines, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Contemporary. Professional accomplishments include Equity Member where she performed for Walt Disney World’s Castle Show. During this period she appeared in special performances for the Christmas, New Years, and Millennium television specials. After being recognized for her tremendous abilities and talents, she was contracted for exclusive gigs throughout Florida. Kellie has also been privileged to be a print model showcasing her dance ability in catalogs, magazines, and advertisement associated with Brenda Rogers Designs. More recently she was employed by Kremlin Entertainment, performing for visiting musical artists such as George Acosta, Paul Oakenfold, and BT (Brian Transeau). Other career highlights include Runway Model/Dancer for Icon Fitness.

As a professional instructor for the United Spirit Association, she was privileged to tour the United States teaching at various dance camps to thousands of students. Kellie’s dance routines are often awarded Best Choreography, Best Technique and Best of Show. Along with these honors, students she choreographed and coached for solos and duets, took home awards of Overall highest scoring routine, Best Choreography, Best Technique, Best Showmanship, Queen, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

She has received Production Artist Honors and Choreographer Honors for her role in “The Sunburst Glen Miller Show”. This show toured nationally throughout Utah, California, Chicago, and Iowa.

Kellie has been a choreographer and technique educator locally as well as abroad for eMotion Dance, Seattle Studio in Washington, Academy of Dance in California, Upstate Carolina Dance Center in South Carolina, Dance Image of Ogden, Lashars of Logan, Dance Academy of Idaho, Silverline of Fremont High School, Tigerettes of Ogden High School, Juan Diego Catholic High School, and Warriorettes of Weber High School. Kellie has also judged numerous competitions throughout the United States involving various genres of dance.

Kellie’s students have gone on to become members of their junior and senior cheer, drill and dance teams. Many of Kellie’s students have become leaders of their high school cheer, drill and dance teams, receiving sterling scholar awards in dance, college dance scholarships at Utah Valley University, BYU, University of Utah and Utah State. Kellie’s students professional work includes Odyssey Touring company, dancing in various gigs throughout LA and NYC including New York fashion week, dancing for Jason Derulo, Ririe-Woodbury, Sea World, Disney World, 90&9 Fighter, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Hale Theatre, Salts Peter Pan, Sound of Music Marta von Trapp professional group of Ziegfeld Theater, Lovolution, and winning scholarships at NUVO.

Kellie is best known for her eclectic teaching style. Full of intensity and explosive enthusiasm. She has developed an incredible ability to work with and teach students of all skill levels. She continuously devotes her passion for the art of dance and truly wishes to instill in every student at every level, the same passion and dedication.
